Gabe Solis, the ex-husband to reality TV star, Trina Braxton, has passed at the age of 43. The software designer had a long battle with cancer which led to his death even though he had kept his cancer issue a secret, even to close confidants. He died in his country home in Texas being surrounded by close family.
The couple had made appearances on the TV show “Braxton Family Values” till their marriage hit the rocks in 2015. Afterward it became more of showing a love/hate relationship in the following episodes.
The couple tied the knot in 2003 after Gabe had proposed to Trina at the peak of the Georgian Terrace Hotel. At the time Trina had two sons, Eric and Caleb, aged 8 and 5 years old respectively.
Their marriage suffered lots of fights and breakups and when Gabe couldn’t stomach it anymore he moved out of their Atlanta home. In a bid to save their marriage they made an appearance on TV show “Iyanla.”
While Trina complained about his infidelity issues Gabe complained of domestic violence saying she had bullied him all through. While the couple were married Trina’s sons never doted on Gabe.
Trina is still mourning his death as she posted a tribute on her Instagram page. She said his passing was the closing of a chapter in their lives and she was going to miss him. She went on to say Gabe was a dear friend to her and a father to her boys.
Trina recently announced that she will be joining her sister, Tamar Braxton, on tour round the country.
