A teenager was arrested after allegedly breaking into Michael Jordan’s $15 million mansion. He is now facing several charges, including criminal property damage.
Highland Park Police Department responded to a robbery in progress call on Tuesday, April 4th, according to Lake & McHenry County Scanner. Around 4:10 p.m., neighbors in the 2700 block of Point Lane reported the crime.
Authorities quickly discovered that the Chicago Bulls legend is the current owner of the Illinois home. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered Raiden Hagedorn, 18, still inside the house.
Hagedorn was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor criminal property damage. In addition to criminal trespass on an occupied residence.
Michael Jordan, who hasn’t lived in the house since he listed it for sale in 2012, was not present at the time of the burglary.
The 56,000-square-foot property is said to have nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, an infinity pool, an indoor basketball court, and even a cigar room.
Furthermore, Jordan has reportedly had trouble selling the property since 2012, as the estate was initially listed for $29 million and dropped to a reported $14,855,000.
