African American woman, Supa Cent, hits the Jackpot as black-owned cosmetics brand made $1 million in 90 minutes

Wuzzam Supa aka Supa Cent is very popular for many reasons. Some people recognize her for the hilarious videos she posts on social media which have gone viral. Others knew her as the waitress who overnight turned the founder and CEO of a cosmetics brand that has equally gone viral. Her brand, “The Crayon Case” whose “Box of Crayons” eyeshadow palette has become a global phenomenon as it has become the sudden talk of the beauty industry.

Her feat in the beauty industry makes it safe to refer to her as “Reynell Steward the million dollar woman.” In just over an hour of Cyber Monday sale, Supa Cent’s product grossed a revenue of $1 million. Steward’s journey to international acclaim has not been void of challenges. She started the cosmetic line in 2017 and featured on the 2018 ESSENCE Festival Stage, yet it was the tail end of 2018 that gave her the big break every entrepreneur hopes for. One of the premier products from the cosmetic line is the “Box of Crayons” eye shadow palette featuring an array of colors and pigments. As soon as it went viral on social media Crayola launched their own line without giving credit to the originator Supa Cent.

Regardless of this, Cent’s product has proven to be top notch and nostalgic, speaking for itself and attracting a huge fraction of the market. This is a major reason why the cosmetic product made such a hit at the Cyber Monday sale. The product offered a whopping 60% off and was patronized by fans and those who sought to try the product for the first time.
