Former NBA forward, Dennis Rodman has denied claims that he stole items worth $500 from a yoga studio. When speaking with TMZ, the ex-pro baller said: “he didn’t steal sh—.”
The owners of the VIBE yoga studio located in Newport Beach accused Rodman of being a distraction while his accomplices carted away clothing worth over $500. The surveillance tapes show the former NBA player enter the store with 3 companions, a man and two women. It also shows the woman putting clothing into her purse while takes a piece of crystal worth $2,500 out of the store in a dolly after shattering it on the floor.
Dennis, however, claimed that the employees at the store had asked his friends to assist with moving the crystal art piece. He said the employees allowed them to take away a few items in exchange as gifts.
TMZ reports that Rodman never gives an explanation about why one of his female companions used him as a shield while putting the pieces of clothing in her bag. Neither did he explain why there was a need to move the crystal piece of art.
The former pro baller believes that the studio is making the accusations as a publicity stunt and he was the victim in this case. An investigation by the Newport Beach PD is already going on after the owner of the store reported the case to the department.
