Sometime in October we brought you news about Netflix’s new Afro-Colombian series set to hit your screens from 2019. The series is titled ‘Simpre Bruja’ and it is an adaptation of “Yo Bruja,” a novel by Isidora Chacon.
We are sure you have waited so long to hear about the premier, the wait is over as Netflix has announced that you can start watching “Simpre Bruja” from February 1, 2019. The drama depicts a young Afro-Colombian witch, Carmen, who travels into the future to avoid being burnt at the stake. We also get to see how Carmen adjusts to life in modern times, precisely 2019.
The movie is expected to hold a powerful message not just for Colombians but young ones all over the world as it is deeply touching, filled with lots of suspense and intrigue.
