Cardi B announced earlier this month that her marriage to Offset, the father of her child had reached its end. She went on to say she still loved him as the father of her child and would give him the respect he deserves. Last Saturday, Offset interrupted Cardi’s performance at Rolling Loud and he has received a lot of backlash over social media for the act perceived by most as insensitive.

Cardi B however went on social media to appeal to fans saying they didn’t have to be hateful to Offset. She made the statement via her Instagram page where she pleaded that her fans respect him as the father of her child. Offset interrupted her performance to make known his intentions to get back together with the female rapper. This singular act attracted a huge outrage from Cardi B fans around the world.
Meanwhile the co-founder of Rolling Loud, Tariq Sheriff, made known in a statement following the event that the organizers played no part in letting Offset get on stage. In his statement he said there were people in charge of the stage and they gave passes to those who came on stage following a very strict routine.
Losing focus of the negatives, Cardi B became the first woman to headline Rolling Loud Festival which is a major milestone in her career.
