Cardi B took social media by storm last Sunday after the Grammys. The versatile rapper set a new record as the first female rapper to win a Grammy for the Best rap album category. Shortly after the ceremony, we noticed that she had shut down her Instagram account.
Before she shut down the account she posted a video in which she spoke on why she believed she deserved to win the award. Cardi also called out folks who believed that she didn’t deserve the award. A couple of people thought several other artists deserved to win it in her stead.

Not long after she deleted the video, she replaced it with a video by Chance the Rapper. In this video, he showered praise on her for the milestone. An insider revealed that Cardi’s family is quite worried about her mental stability at the moment. She has had to deal with overwhelming criticism on social media after winning the award.
Cardi is also said to be devasted for making a public blunder after appreciating Tom Pretty, who had died years ago from drug overdose for sending her flowers. The rapper apparently had no idea of his death and clearly misunderstood the message on the paper accompanying the flowers. She somehow feels the flowers were sent with an intention to ridicule her.
Her management has issued a statement about the situation saying she is taking time to rest and refresh her energy. We are certain she will be back soonest, Cardi is not one to stay away from social media too long.
