Gabrielle Union-Wade has just launched a new Fall capsule collection called – “I’M- PERFECT”. The set is modern, chic, elegant and super sophisticated. Fall fashion promises to be “Perfect”!!!
Gabrielle Union-Wade is quite a household name in the entertainment world. She is an American movie star, author, activist and mother. Over the years, her style statement has been known to be super sassy and sophisticated.
On the 13th of August, 2019, Gabrielle collaborated with New York & Company to roll out the new and exclusive fall collection.The fashion company is into casual work-wear pieces. Earlier in the year, the Hollywood star, released a street capsule collection which was street-style inspired.
Also in April, the 46-year old mother unveiled the New York & Company Baby Collection which featured her daughter, Kaavia James.
I’M PERFECT COLLECTION
The I’m Perfect fall capsule pieces were inspired by Gabrielle’s day to day wardrobe style. In addition, the collection celebrates fearless women who are not afraid to embrace their authentic selves.
The capsule also features prominent fashion trends such as monochromes, bold and bright tones, prints and patterns.
For the campaign, Union showcased women who have inspired her and they include; Actress Diana Rames, Basketball player Candace Parker, Dancer Nia Sioux and Model Isis King.
The pieces range from professional styles suitable for the workplace to casual and comfy outfits.
In an interview with PEOPLE, the AGT judge stated that she designed the collection from a place of motherhood and her baby in mind.
“I’m really having fun with dressing Kaavia because time is flying and I konow she’ll be picking her outfits soon enough. Being a new mom, I am all about comfort, affordability and looks that are easy to wear”, she says.
She also remarked that one of the outstanding pieces for her was the knit sweater or dress. This is because they were quite easy to pack due to her intense travel schedule.
Therefore, a lot of knit styles were included in the fall collection, ranging from the midi dresses to the two-piece sets.
When asked about her favorite fashion piece from the fall capsule, Gabrielle said,
“The strapless maxi dress is one of my favorite pieces. I wore the printed maxi dress from our spring collection on America’s Got Talent and the dress sold out in less than a week. I got some amazing feedback from customers so we brought the dress back both in the print and in green. This dress may or may not pop up again throughout my holiday collection in different colors and prints”.
Also, the layering trend was highlighted in the collection. Union stated that she rocks a jacket on a yearly basis.
“A good coat can make any outfit look amazing when you walk into a room”, she says.
Gabrielle Union-Wade also incorporated bold and bright color tones to the collection in terms of dresses, pants and athletic wears. Her goal was to focus on rich jewel tones that also felt bold and able to make an impact.
The actress added that she is looking forward to the time she would be able to dress her daughter in the fashion pieces from both the new fall collection and her own.
