Staged in Jackson Florida, this fight was an emotional win for kamaru as he had his father who was just released from prison watching him in the audience.
The victory also means Kamaru Usman remains unbeaten in UFC as he secured his 18th straight victory; this means his record at UFC now stands at 14 straight wins and zero losses.

In 2019, Usman became the first African UFC champion, when he beat the then UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
And now, after defeating Masvidal for a second time, and defending his welterweight championship; the champion is now expected to face Colby Covington for a second time. The Nigerian Nightmare also has previously knocked Covington out 18 months ago.
The champion has never denied his roots since he began his career. He carries his African roots and Nigerian nationality proudly. He is also supportive to his African brothers in UFC as he was in the corner Usman was in the corner of the newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion Francis Nganou; who defeated Stipe Miocic at UFC 259 in a second-round knockout.
The Guardian reports that; The sold-out event touted as the first full-capacity sporting event held indoors; in more than a year drew a star-studded crowd. There was no social distancing inside the 15,000-plus-seat arena; and few masks in any direction. It was a clear sign that at least some fans are ready to return to normal; after more than a year of dealing with Covid-19 changes to their routines.
