The love of a father for his daughter knows no bounds, even when she is married to one of the British Royals. Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, has pleaded with his dear daughter to call home. He said on Monday that since her wedding to Prince Harry, which held in May, they hadn’t as much as spoken.
It was revealed by Thomas that the ex-actress, who has since become the Duchess of Sussex, has turned down every attempt he has made to speak with her since her wedding. It will be remembered that Meghan’s father who should have walked her down the aisle on what was arguably the important day of her life, backed down at the last minute due to heart problems.
In his interview with ITV in San Diego, he confessed his undying love for his daughter and his wish that she could just speak to him, even for a minute or two. This is his first interview since the Royal couple had announced they were expecting a child. Thomas is of the opinion that the couple have been influenced by the media’s opinion of him.
Thomas Markle is hoping that the Queen can intervene on his behalf to seal the rift between him and his daughter. In closing the interview he denied Meghan’s alleged attitude of dumping people she no longer has need for. He said Meghan was rather polite has never been rude though he couldn’t really explain what was happening between them at the moment.
