Michelle Obama is back with another book in the works and we are so ready for it!
After releasing “Becoming” in 2018, the former first Lady added this new journal titled Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice. The new book is a companion journal to her bestselling memoir.
According to the publisher, Penguin Random House stated that the journal presents a deeper narrative into the “key themes in Michelle Obama’s memoir. These premises would help readers reflect on their personal and family history, goals, challenges and dreams, what moves them and brings them hope, and what future they imagine for themselves and their community.”
Michelle’s new journal features 150 quotes and encouraging messages to help readers become who they would like to be.
“I hope you’ll use this journal to write down your experiences, thoughts and feelings, in all their imperfections, and without judgment,” said Michelle Obama in the introduction. “We don’t have to remember everything. But everything we remember has value”.
On Amazon, the journal’s listing displays a number of beautiful internal spreads, each with a quote from Michelle Obama. In addition, questions are included to get readers in the life-meditation zone. Amazing right? The first print run for the journal would be a total number of 500,000 copies.
Her 2018 bestselling novel, Becoming, emerged outstanding as it sold above 11 million copies worldwide. Bloomberg reported that the book also made revenue of 20 billion dollars for the publishing house, which was the highest amount since 2007. The book also clinched the top slot in hardcover fiction for good 18 weeks on the New York Times’ List.
CONCLUSION
In a report by Kirkus, Clarkson Potter, an imprint of Random House, announced that the forthcoming journal is set for release on Tuesday, 19th November, 2019. So, mark your calendars and adjust your book club agendas.
