The Born in Africa Festival holds this weekend in Lagos Nigeria and some of the biggest names on the African entertainment scene are billed to be present. Born in Africa Festival, also known as BAFEST is an annual festival where African creativity and entertainment is showcased to the rest of the world. This year BAFEST holds at the Eko Atlantic City on December 16, 2018.
BAFEST is an expression of the dynamism of Africa’s rich culture and artistry, this year’s festival is sponsored by Access Bank and Livespot. Several big names are billed to perform among whom are D’Banj and Tiwa Savage who recently performed at the Global Citizen Festival which held in South Africa.
Tiwa can hardly hold back her excitement at the opportunity to serenade the world with her amazing voice at the “Born in Africa” Festival. Other artistes that will grace the BAFEST stage include, Davido, Yemi Alade, Awilo Logomba, Falz, Flavour, Olamide, Timaya, Burna Boy, and many other surprise guests.
Amaechi Okobi who is Group Head of Access Bank’s Communications and External Affairs department has explained that the festival was deliberately designed to celebrate and showcase film, music, art and fashion in a way that they promote the African story to the world. This year’s BAFEST theme centers on retelling the African story.
