Offset paid tribute to his late cousin and fellow Migos member Takeoff with a new massive back tattoo.
Offset shared his latest dedication to Takeoff on Instagram on Saturday. He inked his ex-bandmate’s likeness. Takeoff’s black and grey portrait depicts him with a halo and illustrations of galaxies and planets in outer space filling in the rest of his back.
“Love you 4L & after” Offset wrote for the caption with emojis of a rocket, white heart, and dove.
Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, died on November 1, 2022. He was killed while attending a birthday party in Houston. When shots rang out, he and Quavo were outside the venue, playing a dice game. The 28-year-old died as a result of gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen.
It’s only been six months since Takeoff’s tragic death shocked the world, and while the Migos were splitting up at the time, they were united by something deeper than music.
Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset were family. Takeoff was Quavo’s nephew and Offset’s cousin. Despite their split, the Migos continued to refer to themselves as brothers.
