In honor of the late rapper, DMX’s memorial would be held at the Barclays center next week, following several balloon releases and memorials; that have been occurring across the U.S. in honor of the late Rapper.
For the people who have been waiting to find out if they will be able to be a part of his official homegoing service. New information has been released, and it appears fans will be able to pay their respects to the late icon; on April 24th at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, according to DMX’s former manager Steve Rifkind, TMZ reports. As of now, the memorial logistics are still in the works; and there isn’t an exact number of how many people will be allowed inside the venue; nor how ticketing will be released.
Although the Barclays center has a capacity of 19,000; there will be a limited capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions.
There has been no information on who would be performing, but I can’t see a homegoing without the Ruff Ryders family being in attendance. Swizz Beats, Drag-On, and others have already shared heartfelt messages on social media. Following the memorial, DMX’s family will be having an intimate funeral service; for his close family and friends the following day, on April 25th, at a church in the NYC area.
