Mike Tyson has been in good spirits after his recent Airplane ordeal in San Francisco.
The boxing legend thought that the best way to blow off steam after a tense flight from San Francisco was to share a joint with rapper Rick Ross and wrestling great Ric Flair and just blow smoke.
Mike Tyson was spotted smoking and joking with Slick Ric and Ricky Rozay at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference afterparty at LIV Miami, most likely about the knockout incident on his JetBlue trip barely 24 hours before.
Tyson was reportedly set to speak at the convention, but his appearance was canceled after the passenger assault video went online.
As previously reported, a viral video shows Tyson striking a flying passenger, now identified as Melvin Townsend, II, with eyewitnesses claiming Townsend was visibly intoxicated and proceeded to provoke the boxing legend.
It was also reported that Townsend hurled a water bottle at Tyson, but his lawyer categorically denied the allegations.
Here’s what Townsend’s lawyer said:
“When Mike Tyson boarded the plane, he became overly excited,” the lawyer told TMZ. “At first, their interaction was cordial. At a certain point, Mr. Tyson clearly became agitated by an overly excited fan and began to strike him in an excessive manner. This situation could have been avoided simply by contacting the flight attendant. Our client denies throwing a water bottle prior to being struck by Mr. Tyson.”
