In a recent interview with UK magazine Closer, Rihanna explained how she’s been spending her time during the quarantine; and it’s being reported that she will be dropping a Caribbean cookbook.
Rihanna said, “I love what I do – but I am always busy, and quarantine gave me the time to do things I wouldn’t always have been able to do – watch an entire box set in a day, cook, go for a walk. It’s important we do little things we enjoy and are kind to ourselves.” She also revealed that after spending so much time cooking in her kitchen, she plans to release her own cookbook, full of her favorite Caribbean recipes.
Rihanna is always representing for her country Barbados and showing all of the Caribbean love. She explained some of her favorite Bajan foods she enjoys eating. Rihanna said, “ I love food from my Barbadian roots and eat a lot of fresh fish.” She continued detailing how Mac ’n’ Cheese, Shepherd’s Pie, and Rum Punch are her comfort foods.
The quarantine has allowed Rihanna to calm down and allow her creativity to flourish. She told Closer that this break from her hectic schedule has forced her to be “still” and focus on the simple things. She added, “At first, it was strange because I am not used to being still – but during quarantine, you have no choice but to be still. Then you start to realize during the lockdown you are stuck there with your own thoughts and your imagination, and it really helped my creativity blossom.”
We await the release date of her Caribbean Cookbook.
